Disaster Relief Training

Note: This page is still under construction.

America's disaster relief is based on a nationwide system called VOAD that stands for "Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster." Each state has its own individual VOADs consisting of a variety of disaster-relief organizations such as the Salvation Army.

Texas is a big state and has several regional VOADs actively participating in disaster relief. Once Krishna Disaster Relief has been certified as a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization we will begin attending VOAD meetings and training.

When Krishna Disaster Relief was founded in 1990, we were active with the Colorado VOAD and attended monthly meetings hosted by various VOAD organizations. The image below is a training certificate issued to Ronald E. Boutelle upon the completion of a 3-day course on Developing Volunteer Resources.
